Sleep Tracking In Apple Watch Is Coming Sooner Than Expected

While reports claimed that Apple will bring sleep tracking to Apple Watch in 2020, there are sources within Apple who said that Apple is bringing sleep tracking features to the current Series 4 with the current hardware and sensors and will be made available in watchOS 6 this year.

While there is no code about sleep tracking in watchOS 6 betas, the feature is dubbed as ‘Burrito’ inside Apple and the Cupertino based tech giant is close to finish developing the feature.

Users will wear their Apple Watch overnight. The ‘time in bed’ tracking feature will remind users to charge their Apple Watch before going to bed.

As for the alarms that are set in the watch, the new sleep tracking feature in Apple Watch will know when the user is awake and will cancel the alarm.

Apple will officially release watchOS 6 in its September 10th event. For now there is no information of a new Apple Watch coming.
