VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. VPN is used for many purposes like connecting to a website that has been blocked by your ISP or connecting to your office intranet while traveling. Apple makes it very easy for you to set up a VPN. Here is how you can configure a VPN on your iPhone.
Download your favorite VPN, we recommend ExpresVPN or NordVPN for this tutorial. Install the VPN app from the App Store, open the app and sign-in.
After signing in, you’ll be prompted to give permission to add a VPN configuration, tap Allow. The VPN profile will be configured on your iPhone automatically.
Now that you have added a VPN configuration, you don’t need to open the VPN app again and again to connect. There is a simple tutorial that teaches you to configure any VPN on your iPhone. Follow along…
- Launch the Settings app from the home screen
- Tap General
- Tap VPN
4. If you have multiple VPN profiles installed choose the one you’d like to connect to.
5. Toggle the switch On
That’s it, whenever you want to connect to the VPN just toggle this switch. With these many taps, you probably think it’ll be easy for you to just open the VPN app and tap connect button but we have created this tutorial just in case.
